20060309 Discovering the Hidden Tīrthas in Navadvīpa Dhāma

So here we are finding the ancient holy places of Navadvīpa dhāma. Gaura-dāhā where Lord Caitanya delivered the crocodile, we have been coming for number of years; so we are seeing the exact area of that, but today we found out something new. Gaura-dāhā is where Lord Caitanya delivered the crocodile - it is in Prema-vivarta by Jagadānanda Paṇḍita. But in the Navadvīpa dhāma Mahātmya, Parikramā-khaṇḍa - it means that this area there is sapta-ṭilā. That seven ṛṣis...

So it seems that here, there is a Gauḍīya Maṭhas were saying this is the seven-ṭilās. Ṭilās are little hillocks, were the seven ṛṣīs used to meditate. But recently in the past two hundred years, they have been cut down and used for making pots, clay pots and things. So now there is no more hillocks. So, one of the hillocks was over here in this island. Little high leveled... There was other hillock was over there beyond the bamboos; and another one over there. Just four hillocks were other side of the Gaura-dāhā—the low land where we went little earlier. So, like this we are trying to locate where all the hidden tīrthas of Navadvīpa dhāma. So that in the future we can show the devotees more or less the area where these hidden tīrthas are situated. So just today, for the first time nobody ever told me... they never even heard of these ṭilās. But, "What is your name?" "Gaur Prasad!" Gaur Prasad, my disciple, they both from this area; they grown up here. He went with the Gauḍīya Maṭha, when he was child. So, he just spontaneously brought up that there is seven ṭilās over here also. Without me even asking! So, I took it as Kṛṣṇa's mercy. So, we can try to locate these places today. So, this is a historical moment. Hare Kṛṣṇa.
